Shopping for Kids

It has been a while since I've been a kid. So it explains why it took me 15 minutes to decide what to get a 5/6 yr old girl as a present. There was sooooo much to choose from at Toys 'R' Us and kids were everywhere. I was tempted to just grab one and ask "Whould you like this if someone got it for you?" But then that would lead to kids thinking I would get them something or expect their parents to get it for them, which would lead to parents being angry with me. I got this for the little boy.
March 3rd is when my friend's nephew turns 1 month old and I decided that his older sister should get something for beign an older sister now. I feel that it should (hopefully) help with preventing jealousy from growing. I am the second child and my brother was very jealous of me for being the baby of the family.
I got this for my nephew ^_^ He's been asking me for it since after Christmas.

Last night I saw Ghost Rider with some friends, I thought it was funny. I'm not much of a Nick Cage fan but the idea of a burning skeloton on a bike was intresting enough for me to go see it. Some compaired it to Dare Devel (while I did not see). Others went just for Eva. ^_^

Still working on the Swap Softly doll. The 2nd mittenette for my SP9 is still on the go...and I have my eyes set on starting some amigurumi.

Getting ready for Christmas *_*

Angel or Devil?

Have you ever had a moment where you thought to yourself "OMG! I was soooo mean!" or "*sigh*Why am I so nice?...". I've had a few of those this past week. The mean stuffs I said I couldn't take back but the events that happened afterwards kind of diverted the attention away from what I had said. Though I still feel pretty bad cuz I hadn't meant to be mean, words just came out of my mouth. The part where I think I'm being tooo nice.... I don't know if I should say something so stop myself from being taken advantaged of too much...I dont' know...too tired to think correctly anyways.

By the way, Knitting MaMa is having another stitch marker swap for all those who are interested.

Getting Ready for the Year of the Pig!

Just finished cleaning my house from top to bottom. Swiffered, vacuumed, and wiped everything. All that is left is to help my Mother stuff money into red envalopes ^_^

Tomorrow night I will be attending a Chinese New Year dinner set up by the U of A Chinese Club. I plan on wearing a satin dress that I made over 6 years ago. For the longest time my Mother had not wanted me to wear it, I thought it's cuz it's white and kind of revealing. However, this time when I had planned on wearing my high school grad dress again she said I should wear the white dress that I had made. I think it's cuz she thinks I'm getting old now and should wear the dress before I get too old to do so >_
Saturday I will be heading to the cultural center for the Chinese New Year Market, then picking up the Chicken and the BBQ pork (*sigh* the VERY VERY LONG line ups) then going to my Mother's work place to pick up a Tirimissu Cake ^_^ (yum!). Then I drop everything back home and head out again to pick up stuffs to give to people when I visit their houses on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Finally I wash my car and help prepare "The Supper".

I finished the head of thing that I'm making for Swap Softly I probably won't have time for it again till after the first few days of Chinese New Year.

I've decided that I will be passing the SP10 swap but is definately gonna be in SP11. March, April, and May is a very busy time at work so I won't have time.

Swap Softly!

Hihi I started to work on my Swap Softly project as soon as I got my partner. I'm suppose to keep it a secret but here's a bit of what my pal will be getting. You can't possibly tell what it will be from these. I needed to start now cux next week is Chinese New Year (Welcome the year of the PIG!) and I will be very busy the next little while, thus the fast start on Swap Softly ^_^.

The past week had been kind of ~blah!~ for me. It snowed almost everyday and it also seems to get colder by the day. Traffic sucked as usual and I got three cuts to my hands in a week. Talk about being a klutz. The last one was a bit deep and took 3 bandaids for it to clot. Good thing I keep a bunch in my wallet. Also Crafty Bean has some Hello Kitty ones at work, I forgot they were there but I'm sure I will need them soon (fingers crossed!)

Today I went with my Mom to the Chinese Church's New Years Market to look around. Very small place, very crowded. They had sold out on the stuffs we needed for new year so we went to T & T Supermarket and there was TONNES of people there. Big places, very crowded. We kept running into friends and most stuffs had been relocated all over the store due to extra stuffs they had places out for new years. So it took a very long time, line-ups were long...yadi yada. Then we headed back to China Town to place an order for a chicken with it's head still attached and a pound of roast pork to place in front of my ancestors alter (sort of for them to bless) then we get to have them (the chicken and pork) as part of the New Years Eve dinner....which I have yet to ask who's all comming. My Dad is the oldest in his family so it's traditional for his siblings family to come over for supper, but with us "kids" having our own 'lives to live' its hard to hunt everyone down for a family gathering. *sigh*. Then on New Years Day I'll have to go visit my relatives homes to wish them everything good under the sun and get lucky money in red envalopes from married couples ^_^. Yay! That's my favorite part.

Still Partying ^_^

This was what we did for CraftyBean's b-day. SPA. It was a bit pricy but nice ^_^

This was from The Toudor Rose on the back it says:

The Shoe of Salvation

Shoe: Look at me. Am I not wonderful?

Lady: You are the most wonderful shoe in the world. I fall to my knees and weep with pleasure when I am with you.

Pause

Lady: You are Beauty. You are Truth. In you I find my Salvation.

Shoe: Thank you. You are a nice lady.

This is CraftyBean's B-day cake her friends made. It's a yarn stash cake!

Sp10 is now open for people to sign up. I'm still deciding if I should again. It's fun and addictive!
