Just finished watching another Jap Drama ^_^. This one I'm not sure why I waited so long to watch. It has both my fav. jap. guys in it. "Nobuta wo Produce" Shuji Kiritani (Kazuya Kamenashi) is one of the most popular guys in his school. He ispretending to care for all of his classmates, but deep down, is quiet and doesn't open up toothers. But for some reason,when his eccentric classmate Akira Kusano (Tomohisa Yamashita) is around, he can show his true self. One day, a new girl from another school comes to Shuji's classroom. Her name is Nobuko Kotani (Maki Horikita). Nobuko=Nobuta. From her gloomy looks, she begins to get harassedby the class bullies in no time. The harassment was devastating. Her lunch gets ruined, she gets a vase of flowers on her desk meaning she had died, and she even gets splashed with wated while she is in the toilet booth. After knowing that the bullying is by Bando (Fumiko Mizuta), Shuji and Akira advise Nobuko to try to harmonize with others. But Nobuko tells themthat she has tried to do so in the past, but every time it turns out miserable. Shuji tells Nobuko to have a more positive attitude, and he protects Nobuko from the harassment. However, he feels that the bullying won't stop that easily. Hearing about this, Akira comes up with the idea to makeover Nobuko from her looks toher personality, so that she'd become one of the most popular girls in their school. (Spoilers!!!!) Instead of the typical geek turns into hot chick story line this one seems to be more realistic. After her make over, Nobuta ( the name given to her by Shuji and Akira) kept a lot of her original self through ou the show. Unlike other female students who ALL shorten their skirts in their uniform, she kept her the intended lenght. A '"friend" had suggested to her to change the way she speak and she did try it for aday and then decided that she doesn't like it and stops. Instead of the usual falling for the hot guy (in this case guys) so becomes best friends with them. She had gradually became popular because she tries to make other people happy, she thinks about other before herself. As for Shuji, I had thought he was a mean person because he is such a fake but the reason he did that was to make other feel better. always being in a happy go lucky mood, always agreeing to others suggestions and helping out others. It turns out that it wasn't really Nobuta who is the loner in the show but Shuji who in the end after finally making true friends, has to move away cuz his father gets transfered to another firm at work. However, it still ends as a happy ending. Want to know why? go watch it on Veoh. ^_^

Last Saturday went out to dinner with gal pal H and we ate a lot ^_^. For dessert we had this banana crepe in cinnamon sugar with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. 
At work we have this lady form Manitoba come in to teach the staff fingerweaving. Here ais her book and some samples I did on the first day.
