Happy Halloween!!!!

Like many, I am incharge of handing out candies tonight ^_^

I know it's been a week since I've blogged but I've been keeping myself busy with work, work, and knitting. this is what I've been doing:

Took Yoshi to the mall where he met a large turtle.
Baby Alpaca scarf for my cousin in Toronto. Her b-day is comming up.
And I finished the kid mohair peice for the purse that I plan on making....someday ^_^

Here is a ladybug that I got from my part-time job. There was this function where they hired a bunch of entertainers to amuse the guests and one of them was a guy who made balloons. This is what he gave me. Ha also made me a penguin, a duck, and a cool rocking horse, but I gave those away to my co-workers. It was a cold night and I don't need to be carrying a bunch of balloons a few blocks away to the parking lot. So I only kept the ladybug in my purse.

Yesterday my boss got me a pattern to make these:
Can't wait to start them ^_^ I just need to wait a bit to give my back account some time to fill up a bit before adding to my stash.

My Boo-ty Got Her Package!!! ^_^

It's has: 2 pairs of Halloween socks, a Halloween treats box, a pumpkin head chocolate from Rocky Mountain Chocolate, an origami ball thing I made ^_^, Virginia's painted yarn for her stash, XXL sock yarn for her cuz I read that she has a book on vintage sock patterns, a sheep finger puppet, and of course baby yarn cuz she only has about 80 something days to go till little S arrives and a baby book for the baby library. Oh and I also found a cool pumpkin pattern here.


Winter is finally here in Edmonton and I need to go get my winter tires onto my car >_< $$!

Oh!! My SP9 got her first small package from me I'm so glad it arrived safely and she seems to like what she got ( can wipe sweat off my forehead now ^_^).

Hmm...lets see what else...the baby booties are on the go again, this time I counted and comparied them side by side. ^_^ I've started to knit this kid mohair piece, it's like a scarf but I'm not gonna use it as a scarf. I saw this cool purse at River City Yarns and I wanted to make it. It's a felted tote purse with this funny looking pom poms out of kid mohair wrapped around the purse. So I'm gonna try to make one. you can probable tell from my lovely discription that I have no idea what I'm doing ^_^ But I'm gonna just 'wing it' and hope it's turn out semi pretty 0_O (dun dun dun!!!!). The lace scarf is still on the roll, I keep it in my very large purse so it goes with me all over. And finally I've decided to just give my mother the 10 balls of bamboo yarn I got from Ewe Asked For It for her b-day instead of making something for her cuz a) I'm out of time (Oct. 26) and b) I think she'll enjoy playing with it too. ^+^

I got home late tonight cuz I went to see a preview of a show with my boss. Her friend is in a play 'Steel Magnolias' and it was great. I cried a bit, it was so touching. It was full of laughs too. But nothing could have toped off what was waiting for me at home.....

My Aunt from Hong Kong sent my a parcel and in it I found this:

A holey sweater!!!! Don't think that's gonna keep me warm this winter. I found it ironic ^_^ Hee Hee Hee Ha Ha HA HAHAHAHAHA. Sorry to say but I can't make myself wear it. It's acrylic. Sorry Aunt Mary. It was the thought that counts right?

And this 'was' a gooddie my boss gave me cuz I like white chocolate ^_^. I said 'was' cuz I've already ate it.

And this, my mistake a couple of nights ago. It took me a while for it to sink in that I made a stupid silly mistake. I can't count! Look what I did. One big. One smaller. Good thing its only one longer so I don't need to tear the 'whole' thing completely apart to fix it. It's for H's sister's baby, who will arrive any moments now. Can't wait.

Finally, I need to confess that I forgot to e-mail my SP9 yesterday cuz it was the 15th. But I did just send her a Hallmark e-card to let her know she isn't forgotten.

I also got an e-card from my SP9. ^_^. Thanks!

I'm off to bed now. Its already 12:38am.

I Got My Dishcloth from Marti

I got my parcel!!! Yeah!!! A beautiful flower pattern in red, blue, and white. I also got some Bath and Body Works shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, lotion, and lip balm in Pear scent. ^_^ I like!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Like most, I will be going out for dinner with my relatives. Yah! No cooking or cleaning! ^_^

I finished the 2nd piggy potholder. It looks likt this:

And I finally have my boo-ty Package done! I'll be sending it out hopefully tomorrow. I can't wait till she gets it.

My lace scarf is doing great. I had to stop for a while to work on the pot holders but now I'm on the roll again and I just added another 2" to it. ^_^ I find that now I'm knitting it a lot faster, cuz I almost have the pattern memorized by now, it makes me feel good.

How was my day?

My day started off great cuz I found out that my dishcloth pal FiberFish got th epackeage I sent to her.

In there was a tote purse I made, I can't remember where the pattern was from. 4 dishcloths, 2 balls of yarn, stitch markers, a cake pin coushion I made, and a card.

Next, I decided to develope some photos at Superstore. Got there at 11:45 took me a little over 10 mins to pick and touch up my 97 photos. Drop of fmy order and they told me to pick up at 1pm. So I head over toe Micheal's and bum around and spend money for an hour. Got back to Superpstore at 1:15 and the gal told me teh machine didn't copy my files from my memory card properly and asked if I could to it over again. Fine! I go up to those machines and what do the three of them say? "Out of Order". so a little mad I got to Save-on-Foods to find thier photo depr. not working till further notice. So finally, unhappily, I step into wal-mart (I know!! I'm not proud of myself!!!) I wait inline for 45 mins to get to a michine and it takes me less than 2 minutes to pick adn choose my photos, wait for my receipt, and wait in line for another 10 mins to give the photo lab my order. That was at 2pm. "the order will be done at 3pm" she says. I go home and make me some instant noodles. But some laundry to the wash (which I should take out now! ^_^) then head back to Wal-mart at 3:15, I get to the counter and the girl at teh counter says "Sorry we don't seems to have your order done yet" and then just stares at me. So I say to her "so you want me to came back in 15 minutes?". She says 20. O.K. I go bum around Wal-mart for 30 minutes and go back and they still didn't get my pics done. So I stood there till they got it done and didn't get back home till 4:15 where I started to put my vacation photos in order into an album I got from Micheal's. All that waiting made me tired. Good thing I had my 2nd piggy potholder on the go with me in my purse. I'm almost done, just need to attach the ears and tail then it's off to N in Vancouver.

Over this weekend I got a bunch of stuffs for my Secret Pal 9, my Boo-ty Swap Pal, and of course, myself ^_^ . I took a whole bunch of shifts from my part-time job to make up for the money I 've been spending $_$. So basically for the next few weeks I will be working 2 full time jobs, one in the daytime and one at night. !_! And hopefully, 8 hrs of sleep inbetween. I hope to have my Boo-ty Package sent a.s.a.p. so she can get her stuffs before Halloween. Almost done, just need to get some treats ^_^. I also hope to send my Secret Pal 9 part one of her swap too. I got her a DVD and yarn.

I've Started My Lace

I got this pattern from my Lace Swap Buddy I'm making the green scarf with this beautiful Baby Alpaca she got from Knit Picks. Eventually I will get to the lace shawl but I thought a scarf would be a better size as a first time lace project.

I've started this last week and this is where I was up two nights ago. I've had to undo it a few times cuz I was confused with the pattern and I kept letting stitches out by accident.

This is where I am now.

I absolutly love this project. I was out with a friend, S, before work (p/t job) at Starbucks and while she was doing the talking I was knitting away. So glad she didn't mind cuz I couldn't put it down. We were tlaking abou tbeing in a 'quarter life crisis'. Where you start to wonder about life.
Questions I ask myself:
What do you want to do with youself now?
I don't know, go with the flow!
Do you really want to go with the flow or try to achieve something more in life?
I would like to do more with my life but I'm just to damn lazy!
Then get off your ass and do look for things to do. Meet new people. Take up salsa dancing! *wink to Crafty Bean*
Whats wrong with the people I know now? Scared to go to salsa class.

On a lighter note ^_^
This is something I made last weedend. It's one of those little kids projects that I thought was so cute. I've made one at the end of this summer for a friend's cousin's kid in L.A. I thought that a white unicorn would be as cute as the horse and I was right.

My next project I'm gonna start will be for my Boo-ty swap. It's a secret! ^_^

Thing About Me not Knitting Related *gasp!*

I like reading fantasy books, things to do with magic. Stories about witches or dragons mostly.

I dont' watch must T.V. mostly the Cooking or Fashion channel. Thought I don't agree with the show, I can't help but be attached to Americas Next Top Model though I haven't seen any of this season yet. I like Crash My Kitchen cuz my friend Corbin is one of the hosts for the show. I Do Lets Eat is great too.

I Love Anime. ( Japanese cartoons) I just finished watching one that is 26 episodes called Ouran Host Club. Its weird and cute at the same time, typical anime. I've been keeping up with one called Gumdam since I was a child. Love Hina was another one of my favorites too. There are too many to name.

I like playing with felt/wool to make softies.

I like Van Gogh's works.

I dye with indigo, thought I haven't tried it at home yet, don't know how my Mother would feel about my dying in the house.

I like cars, I like driving fast but not recklessly. I was hit by a drunk driver when I was 12 crossing the street. I enjoy driving.

I love jewllery. Silver and amber is my fav. though I won't say no to diamonds $_$. Tifannys ^_^

I've donated blood 6 times so far, my iron level keeps getting too low >_<

I have no allergies (knock on wood)

I like all kinds of ethnic food, japanese, thai, indian, italian, etc. Did I forget chinese?

Fav. chocolate bar: 1) white choc Toblerone 2) Twix. Though I love them please don't send them, they might melt >_<.

Fav. cheese: marble mozz. and ched.

Fav. soft drink: Coke

1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
I’m in love with Bamboo right now but I also like baby alpaca and wool and silk.
I don’t like acrylic or polyester.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
I use a paper bag when I’m on the go and at home they’re in a clear plastic box from Michael’s.

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
I’ve been knitting since I was small, my Mother thaught me the knit and purl pattern.
I consider myself a beginner still.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
I don’t have an online wish list

5. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products, etc.)
My favorite scents are:
perfume-Issey Miyake
Body lotion- I have 2, one is from Bath and Body works: cucumber melon scent and the other is from H2O: clear water scent.

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?
I don’t really have a sweet tooth. I like white chocolate over milk or dark. Coke gummies are good. Cinnanon Hot Hearts…

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?
I do origami, as well as sewing and making felt softies. I’ve bought some indigo dyes from Maiwa, I plan on doing some shibori on cotton and silk.
I don’t spin.

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
I like all kinds of music. I can go from Charlote church to Rianna to Modest Mouse.
I’ve just seen Phantom of the Opera and beach Boys with my Mother.

9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand?
I like white, purple, grey, pink, green, yellow…too many. I do prefer soft-light colors over dark-dull colors.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
I’m 24 and still living at home (sad I know, but it’s so much cheaper on rent) I have one older brother and a whole bunch of cousins whom I considered as sibblings. I have no pets…well, we have a 6 fish in a huge tank which my Mother names all of them and can tell them apart. I just clean the tank once int a while.

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?
I wear all

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
I’ve been knitting scarves thought I would like to start mitts, socks, and sweaters.

I’m knitting:
A piggy pot holder
A lace scarf out of baby alpaca

YES!

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
I’ve been using my Mothers supplies. The only thing that is truly mine is a set of size 15 US bamboo needles and a set of plastic size 4 US from my lace swap partner. So really, anything is fine with me ^_^

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?
Nope

17. How old is your oldest UFO?
I have a pink scarf I started over 4 years ago, it’s a pretty color and pattern but I needed the needles for something else and now I can’t for the life of me remember what size needles thay were >_<

18. What is your favorite holiday?
First: Christmas, I get gifts ^_^
Second: Halloween, its part of my dark side O_0
Third: Easter, I get to play with eggs !_!
